Genesis Mexican Products was established in 2011 with the commitment to guarantee top quality products and top quality service in Hawaii.
The founder of the company, Adolfo Casanova Martinez, is originally from Pedernales, Michoacan, Mexico. In 1992, he moved from Mexico to Santa Maria, California. He moved to Hawaii in 1996 when he fell in love with the island of Maui on a vacation.
He started in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher and worked his way up to prep cook, line cook, and kitchen manager. He missed the authentic Mexican food flavors of his home and saw a big opportunity to provide Mexican products to Hawaii, where there were none readily available. Adolfo always had a dream of owning his own business and through hard work and dedication became the part-owner of a tortilla factory in Kihei, Maui. He soon saw a bigger opportunity to provide a larger variety of traditional street taco meats such as tripas, chorizo, suadero, birria, lengua, menudo, cachete, chicharron prensado, chivo, borrego, queso de puerco, and much more. Demand for Mexican products from the locals pushed him to expand his items to include Mexican sodas, pastries (Bimbo), and candies. He specializes in the wholesale market and supplies items to most Mexican and local restaurants on the island of Maui and neighboring islands. Genesis has also expanded to include different Latin products from South America.
Adolfo is a family man that has been married to Isalia Tellez Ornelas for 22 years and has three beautiful children, Adolfo Jr, Alejandro, and Genesis, that were born on the island of Maui. His vision is for his kids to continue the legacy of providing his products to the entire state of Hawaii.
